JOB SUMMARY:
This position has primary responsibility for oversight of mental health services and case management services to young adults, adolescents, children and their families. The Full Services Partnership (FSP) Supervisor-Transitional Services supervises Mental Health Specialists and Support Counselors providing mental health services (including assessment and evaluation), group services, and other services to clients referred to the Community Services Program. The Community Services Supervisor may have their own caseload in addition to overseeing the Mental Health Specialists and Support Counselors. He/she acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical & support staff. Supervisor has primary responsibility for developing and facilitating staff trainings as needed throughout the entire organization.
EDUCATION: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field.
EXPERIENCE:
■ Five (5) years direct service experience with SED Patients, Experience with Children and Adolescents required.
■ Two (2) Years Post License experience as a Supervisor
■ Two (2) Years post license experience
AND
■ Two (2) years in an inpatient or outpatient mental health setting may include community, hospital or residential setting.
■ Experience as a Community Services Supervisor Highly Preferred.
LICENSE or CERTIFICATION:
■ California Board of Behavioral Science approval to supervise Interns.
■ Licensed as MFT, LCSW, Ph.D. Psychologist in the state of California
AND
■ Valid California Drivers License.

■ Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, other staff, families and the public.
■ Demonstrated familiarity with computers required.
■ Demonstrated knowledge of Word and Excel; knowledge of Access preferred.
■ Knowledge of Community Resources, especially related to the Mental Health, Social Services, Education, and Medical fields is highly desirable to make appropriate linkages.
■ Ability to drive to and from external agencies in personal vehicle.
